Post 111 Donates to Cedar Hill Annual Police Drive

On May 25, 2016, Post 111 supported the Cedar Hill Annual Materials Drive. The donation to their event will help 300 children.


Post 111 Completes & Submits Annual CPR

On May 24, 2016, Post 111 completed and submitted their annual Consolidated Post Report (CPR) to the State and National organizations. This is an important annual report that documents the Posts activities for 2015. The report is rolled up with other reports from all other Posts in The American Legion and provides the basis for the National Commander's report to the U.S. Congress.


Congratulations to Cedar Hill High JROTC Award Winners

On May 7, 2016, the following cadets were awarded an American Legion Medal & Ribbon set along with a frameable Certificate of Excellence by Commander Gary Smith on behalf of Post 111. For Military Excellence: Cadet Colonel Sara Patino, Cadet Major Alayna Wilson, Cadet Charles Sims II, and Cadet Seth Villanueva. For Scholastic Excellence: Cadet Nathan Nicolas.


Congratulations to New Post 111 Officers

On May 4, 2016, Post 111 elections were held. The following Legionnaires were elected as your new officers for the term 2016-2017: Commander - Pat McEnroe, Vice Commander - Vacant, Service Officer - Vacant, Judge Advocate - Vacant, Finance Officer - Gary Smith, Chaplain - Charlie Nations, Historian - Vacant, Sergeant-at-Arms - Vacant, and Trustee - Gary Poplin. Commander McEnroe will appoint an Adjutant and any other office at a later time. Please congratulate your new officers and provide them with your utmost support.

Monthly General Membership Meeting Information

General Legion membership meetings for Post 111 are held monthly on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. except for January. ALR Chapter 111 membership meetings are also held monthly on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. SAL Squadron 111 membership meetings are held monthly on the 1st Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The meetings are held at the Post and members and guests should use the rear entrance to the building. Ample parking is available.

The plates are available for all Legion, Auxiliary and SAL members in the Department of Texas. See the attached sheet for more information.

All members are invited to be more active in Post management and activities. The more participation, the greater fun for all! Volunteering an hour or two a month is all it takes to make a difference.
